In isolation for COVID-19, Marcos to hold Cabinet meeting via Zoom

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will preside over a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday via Zoom, Malacañang has said.

Marcos is still in isolation after testing positive for COVID-19 last week. He has been advised to go on isolation for seven days.

The scheduled Cabinet meeting will be Marcos' second since starting his six-year term on June 30.

Marcos health condition has improved days after he tested positive for COVID-19, Malacañang said on Sunday.

In a statement, Press Secretary Atty. Trixie Cruz-Angeles said Marcos' personal physician Dr. Samuel Zacate on Saturday afternoon said the  President's health had “greatly improved with only mild symptoms with no fever, no loss of taste and smell sensation.”

According to her, the physical examination showed that Marcos’ throat was “clear of any inflammation” and that there was also “no sign of respiratory distress or pneumonia.”

His vital signs are also “within normal limit and he will be subjected to further laboratory examination as may be needed.”

“His personal doctor, Dr. Zacate, reported Saturday that the President is doing well and very much in stable condition,” Angeles said, noting that Marcos was advised to undergo home isolation for seven days. —NB, GMA News
