SC calls on judiciary employees, lawyers to apply as local Bar personnel
The Supreme Court on Monday called on judiciary employees and lawyers to participate in the 2022 Bar Examinations as local Bar personnel.
In a statement, OIC Bar Confidant Amor Entila said interested applicants may apply as floor supervisors, head proctors, proctors, and runners.
“To ensure the success of the 2022 Bar Examinations, the OBC, together with Associate Justice Benjamin Caguioa, the Bar Examinations Chairperson, would like to invite judiciary employees and lawyers working outside the Judiciary to participate in this year’s Bar examinations,” Entila said.
According to the SC, interest applicants must have all the following qualifications:
- incumbent judiciary employee, including those with permanent, coterminous, casual, and contractual status, or lawyers outside the Judiciary;
- fully vaccinated and have received at least one booster dose before October 15, 2022;
- not teaching in any law school or law review centers;
- have a LandBank account in one's own name (for judiciary employees only);
- have no relative/s by consanguinity or affinity within the fourth (4th) civil degree who will take the exam in the same testing center where the personnel will serve.
Meanwhile, those applying as floor supervisors must be a lawyer and must have a maximum of four clerks of court or branch clerks of court.
The Bar exams are set to be held in November in 14 local testing centers nationwide. It will be both digitalized and localized in modality. — DVM, GMA News
