Marcos names DOTr attached agencies' chiefs
President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has appointed officials who will lead the attached agencies of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) under his administration.
In a press release on Wednesday, the DOTr said Marcos named Cesar Chiong as the acting general manager of the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) while he picked Edgardo Diaz as deputy director general of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).
Marcos also chose Manuel Antonio Tamayo as CAAP deputy director general with Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista designating him as acting director general as well, according to the DOTr.
Meanwhile, the agency said executive director Carmelo Arcilla would continue to lead the Civil Aeronautics Board while the Office of Transportation Security will be headed by Ma. O Ranada Aplasca, a retired police general.
Marcos also appointed Hernani Nieves Fabia as the administrator of the Maritime Industry Authority, the DOTr said.
