DepEd kicks off enrollment for School Year 2022-2023
The Department of Education (DepEd) on Monday has started the new enrollment process for learners of School Year 2022-2023.
According to DepEd Order Number 35, the enrollment for the upcoming academic year will be held from July 25 to August 22.
The enrollment can be administered in-person, remotely, or through dropbox forms.
Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners are also allowed to enroll physically or online.
DepEd reminded parents and students who will physically process the enrollment to observe the minimum public health standards so as to protect themselves against COVID-19.
“Upang masigurong protektado ang mga magpapatala nang in-person, huwag kalimutang sundin ang ating health and safety protocols gaya ng pagsusuot ng face mask at pagpapanatili ng physical distancing,” the DepEd said.
(Don’t forget to follow the health and safety protocols like wearing a face mask and maintaining physical distance to ensure the protection of those who will enroll physically.)
The School Year 2022-2023 will open on August 22 and will end on July 7, 2023.
The DepEd said schools will only be allowed to hold blended learning schedules and full-distance learning until October 31, while starting November 2, all public and private schools should have transitioned to 5 days of in-person classes.
Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte earlier said schools can now safely open since health protocols have been in place for the last two years amid the pandemic.
The Education Department also said that about 38,000 schools are ready for face-to-face classes when the school year begins in August. — Giselle Ombay/RSJ, GMA News
