Remulla designates Mico Clavano as DOJ spokesperson

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla has formally designated Atty. Mico Clavano as spokesperson of the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Clavano said Remulla signed his designation paper on August 15.

“And as spokesperson, I am authorized to release press statements and press releases regarding the affairs in the Department of Justice,” he said in an interview with the media.

The newly-designated spokesperson said the agency will be transparent.

“The secretary has been very assuring to the media that he will be transparent with his affairs to make sure that everybody has equal access to the developments and programs the department wants to push,” Clavano said.

“I will be relaying these things, but of course, the secretary, there are things that he would like to say himself and we would have to respect all his statements,” he added.

Clavano is a former associate solicitor at Office of the Solicitor General of the Philippines. —Joahna Lei Casilao/KBK, GMA News
