Over 27 million students have enrolled for SY 2022-2023 — DepEd


More than 27 million students have enrolled a few days before the resumption of face-to-face classes on August 22, the Department of Education (DepEd) said. 

As of August 19, a total of 27,158,578 students have registered as the enrollment will continue until the opening of classes. 

A total of 23,029,151 students were enrolled in formal education, while 4,129,427 students were from early registration. 

Calabarzon has the highest number of registrants with 3,709,599, followed by Central Luzon with 2,810,330 and the National Capital Region with 2,406,014. 

The department reiterated that enrollment would be administered through in-person, remote, and dropbox forms. 

Students of Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners can still enroll in-person or online. 

Blended learning schedules and full-distance learning will be allowed until October. 

Starting November 2, all public and private schools in the country should have transitioned to five days of in-person classes. —VBL, GMA News
