Revilla undergoes surgery due to ureteral stones
Senator Ramon Revilla Jr. underwent surgery on Wednesday due to ureteral stones.
Revilla was brought to the hospital around 5 a.m. on Wednesday because of "unbearable abdominal pain," according to the medical bulletin released by his office.
"After tests, it was determined that Senator Revilla was suffering from ureteral stones that caused his pain and nausea. He is now in recovery after undergoing a procedure at 2:30 o’clock this afternoon," it read.
During the Senate session, Majority Floor Leader Joel Villanueva prayed for Revilla’s "fast recovery."
"Maybe just to put on record our sincerest concern and prayers for our dear colleague, Senator Bong Revilla. We can also ask him, Mr. President, to turn off his video camera and we know what he is going through and we are all in agreement, in prayers for his fast recovery," Villanueva said.
Earlier this month, it was also reported that Revilla had eye surgery. —VBL, GMA News
