Over 3M passports delivered to DFA from January to September - APO

More than three million passports have been delivered by the APO Production Unit Inc. (APO) to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in the first nine months of 2022, its chairperson said on Friday.

At a public briefing, APO chairperson Ricky Alegre said the state-run printing firm produced 3,062,300 passports from January to September.

“Itong dami ng passport na lumalabas, na dini-deliver namin, nagpapakita na marami namang mga kababayan natin ay gusto bumiyahe, magtrabaho o magbakasyon,” Alegre said.

(The number of passports that we have delivered is an indication that many of our countrymen want to travel abroad, whether for work or vacation.)

Alegre said that so far, there hasn't been a backlog in passport deliveries.

“We expect na 'yung full normalization ng passport deliveries by next year," he said.
