Students from 25 provinces get school supplies from GMA Kapuso Foundation

Students from 25 provinces around the country received school supplies from the Kapuso Foundation.

According to a “24 Oras” report on Wednesday, among the beneficiaries are “geographically isolated” places including Maguindanao, where teacher Asmaira Manggan is from.

Having been exposed to war since she was young, Manggan said she is thankful to see that the kids are getting what they need for their studies. She also uses their dreams as inspiration in teaching.

“Naranasan din nating sa harapan mo, may namamatay. Sobrang hirap in a way na hindi ka makapag focus sa pag-aaral,” she said.

“Hindi ako nanghihinayang na gamitin talaga yung sariling [resources] ko para lang ipakita sa kanila kung gaano kaganda yung buhay na nag-aaral ka,” she added.

With the help of GMA Kapuso Foundation’s partners, sponsors, and donors, students were also given hygiene kits under the “Unang Hakbang sa Kinabukasan” project.

The GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
