DWSD's Tulfo: Over 200,000 PWDs made income from cash-for-work program

Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Erwin Tulfo said Saturday that 200,000 persons with disabilities (PWDs) had been paid under the DSWD's cash-for-work program called "BUHAYnihan."

In an interview on Super Radyo dzBB, Tulfo explained that the program's goal was to help PWDs, especially with their upkeep.

Tulfo was then asked if each PWD received the same amount. So, pasok po sila dyan.”

The DSWD Secretary explained the BUHAYnihan concept was from President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

“Tama nga naman po siya kasi rather than nakaratay na lang yung pobre, lalo pong made-depressed po yang mga yan, parang wala na talaga silang silbi, at least this time, meron po silang aasahan na,” he added. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
