Marcos reappoints Manuel Teehankee as PH representative to WTO


President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has reappointed Manuel Antonio Teehankee as Permanent Representative of the Philippines to the Geneva-based World Trade Organization, Malacañang said Tuesday.

Marcos first appointed Teehanke to the post in July 2022, but the Commission on Appointments deferred the confirmation proceedings pending his submission of a copy of the agreement that the Philippines and Thailand had signed to settle the trade disputes between the two countries.

The Palace also announced the appointments of the following officials:

  • Kenneth Chua - Member, National Tripartite Industrial Peace Council
  • Milagros Ogalinda, Member, National Tripartite Industrial Peace Council

National Security Council

  • Marlo Guloy - Deputy Director General
  • Benjamin Madrigal - Deputy Director General

Department of Trade and Industry

  • Leonila Baluyut - Assistant Secretary
