Ex-Marines commandant, 7 others charged over 2000 case of missing firearms


MANILA, Philippines - A former Philippine Marines commandant and seven other individuals were charged before the Sandiganbayan for the loss of high-powered firearms in June 2000. Former Marines Commandant Brig. Gen. (retired) Percival Subala and Col. Cesar dela Peña led the respondents who were charged with illegal disposition of firearms over the loss of 72 units of H&K MP5 sub-machineguns in June 2000. Other who were included in the charge sheet are a Navy captain, a police officer and four firearms suppliers of the Armed Forces and the police. - GMANews.TV
