Marcos to go on retreat during Holy Week

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Friday said he will go on a retreat for a few days during the Holy Week.

Interviewed in Mariveles, Bataan, Marcos said he is also planning to spend Easter Sunday with his family.

"Ako simple lang, I'll do what I do every year. I go [on a] retreat for few days and then I'll spend Easter with my family," Marcos said.

Malacañang earlier announced the suspension of work in all government offices starting noon of April 5 for the observance of Holy Week.

The Presidential Communications Office said the work suspension would begin from 12 p.m. onwards "to give employees ample time to travel to and from different regions in the country."

Marcos was in Mariveles, Bataan on Friday to attend the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge (BCIB) Milestone Ceremony. —Anna Felicia Bajo/KBK, GMA Integrated News
