2 hurt in stove blast in Sta. Cruz, Manila
MANILA, Philippines - Two cooks were injured when a kerosene stove at the kitchen of a restaurant in Sta. Cruz, Manila, exploded Friday. Injured were Charlito Borlon, 32, and Eulalio Aparicio, 20, both of Little Hollywood restaurant. They were taken to Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center after sustaining burns in the thigh, hands and body. Senior Fire Officer 2 Emmanuel Gaspar, case investigator, said the incident occurred at the kitchen area of the restaurant on the second floor. Borlon who was preparing to cook food lit the kerosene stove but it suddenly exploded. Aparicio who was standing beside Borlon was also injured. Other restaurant workers put out the flames caused by the explosion while others rushed the two victims to hospital. - GMANews.TV
