More than 80% of Filipinos trust President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte, based on OCTA Research Group's latest Tugon ng Masa survey.

Results of OCTA’s independent and nonpartisan poll conducted in March showed that most of the country’s adult population trusts Marcos and Duterte, who received 83% and 87% trust scores respectively.

Marcos’ highest satisfaction rating was in Visayas at 89%, while Duterte’s was in Mindanao at 92%.

The National Capital Region was the area where both the officials’ lowest satisfaction rating was recorded at 73% and 76%, respectively.

In October last year, they both received 86% trust ratings.

“Bare to big" majority approval ratings were also recorded by Marcos (80%) and Duterte (84%), along with Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri (53%), and House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez (59%).

Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo, meanwhile, posted a performance rating of less than the majority at 41%.

The dissatisfaction of adult Filipinos was lowest with Marcos at 6% and Duterte at 4%, and highest with Gesmundo at 14%.

Among the socio-economic classes, Marcos had the highest satisfaction rating of adult Filipinos in Class ABC at 84%, and the lowest in Class E at 78%.

The percentage of approval of adult Filipinos on Duterte was 87% in Class ABC, and 84% in Class D and E.

OCTA also pointed out a significant rise in the performance and trustworthiness of Romualdez and Gesmundo from the previous survey, after recording 15% and 11% for performance, and 17% and 15% for trustworthiness, respectively.

The latest poll was conducted from March 24 to 28, 2023, and used face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adults nationwide.
