PH logs 1,165 new COVID-19 infections, active cases drop to 12,125


The Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday recorded 1,165 new COVID-19 infections, while the active tally dropped to 12,125.

According to the latest data, the country’s nationwide COVID-19 tally is currently at 4,105,498, while the active tally went down from 12,161 on Monday.

The highest number of cases in the past two weeks were the National Capital Region with 6,652, Calabarzon with 3,437, Central Luzon with 1,028, Western Visayas with 808, and Bicol Region with 561.

The recovery tally increased to 4,026,920, while the death tally remained at 66,453, the Health Department said.

Based on the latest data, at least 4,703 beds were occupied, while 19,937 were vacant as the bed occupancy in the country remained at 19.1% as of Sunday.

A total of 7,511 individuals were tested, while 320 testing labs submitted data, according to the DOH. —NB, GMA Integrated News
