Marcos invited to the 2023 UN Climate Change Conference in Dubai

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has been invited to attend the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Dubai this December 2023.

The Conference of the Parties (COP) of the United Nations Framework Convention will be held at the Expo City.

It was UAE Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Mohamed Obaid Salem Alqataam Alzaabi who relayed the invitation to the President during a courtesy visit on Tuesday.

There is no word yet from the Palace whether Marcos has accepted the invitation.

The COP is the supreme decision-making body of the Convention which is tasked with reviewing the national communications and emission inventories submitted by parties. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
