Marcos agrees with ‘incomplete’ grade on his performance
President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. said Thursday he agrees with an assessment which gave him a grade of "incomplete" in his performance as the highest official of the country.
In an ambush interview, Marcos was asked how he would assess his administration's performance in the past year. Marcos shared that he saw a report where one of the economists gave him a grade of "incomplete."
"I saw a report earlier this morning where one of the economists said the grade that I will give for the President is incomplete. I agree with him. We are not done," Marcos said.
Marcos said there are still a lot of things to do especially in the agriculture sector.
"Ang dami pa nating gagawin [We still have a lot to do], there are many, many things that we still need to do. We have to undo 30, 35, almost 40 years of neglect when it comes to the agricultural sector," he added.
Further, the President said the delivery of the promises made under his administration is "a work in progress," noting the changes being observed in the international arena.
"It is an ongoing process, again we have to bear in mind that the international situation has changed, in terms of trade, in terms of geopolitics, so we are having to adjust to that," Marcos said.
"And now it is very clear that the most successful economies are those that are agile and resilient. And that I think we have put in place the basic elements in place to do that," he added. — RSJ, GMA Integrated News
