Philippines registers 503 new COVID-19 cases
The Department of Health recorded 503 COVID-19 cases on Thursday, pushing the country’s active cases to 7,896.
Meanwhile, the nationwide caseload increased to 4,164,360, and the total recoveries climbed to 4,089,980.
The death toll remained at 66,484.
The National Capital Region had the highest number of new cases in the past two weeks with 1,573, followed by Central Luzon with 1,108, Calabarzon with 966, Western Visayas with 605, and Cagayan Valley with 501.
Among cities and provinces, Quezon City posted the highest number of new cases in the past 14 days with 402, followed by Iloilo with 343, Cavite with 320, Bulacan with 275, and Pampanga with 256.
A total of 5,413 individuals were tested on Wednesday, and 299 testing laboratories submitted data.
As of Wednesday, the national bed occupancy rate was 17.2%, with 4,271 occupied and 20,556 vacant beds. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
