DepEd: Teachers may receive 2021 performance-based bonus in two to three weeks
The Department of Education said Thursday that teachers may already recieve their 2021 performance-based bonus (PBB) in two to three weeks, should all 15 regions be able to submit the revised form required by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
Interviewed on Super Radyo dzBB, DepEd Assistant Secretary Francis Bringas said, so far, the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and Mimaropa have submitted to DBM the Form 1.0 of school-based personnel, which is needed for the PBB funds to be released.
“Ang pag-process ng [the processing of] DBM for all the regions will have to be between two to three weeks para i-process kasi nga [because] very voluminous ‘yung recipients ng DepEd so they have to process for 15 regions and usually, it takes two to three weeks,” Bringas said.
DBM said Monday that the submitted Form 1.0 of the 15 regions outside Metro Manila were returned to the Personnel Division, Bureau of Human Resource, and Organizational Development (BHROD) for revalidation or revision due to duplicate entries, personnel indicated not found in the agency’s Personal Services Itemization, and Plantilla of Personnel (PSIPOP), among others.
DepEd said teachers in the National Capital Region, meanwhile, may receive their 2021 PBB earlier than others after the DBM issued a Special Allotment Release Order and Notice of Cash Allocation worth P950,942,317 to DepEd for the regions’ eligible school-based personnel. —Giselle Ombay/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
