Farmers in Isabela hit by El Niño get aid from GMA Kapuso Foundation
Farmers from Isabela received aid from the GMA Kapuso Foundation amid the warm weather conditions brought by El Niño.
According to “24 Oras,” Friday, the phenomenon has been affecting the crops and livelihood of the farmers in the province.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration declared that the El Niño season started in June.
According to data from the Philippine Statistics Authority, Isabela leads the production of corn in the country, but due to the phenomenon’s severe effects, farmers are experiencing difficulties.
The Kapuso Foundation was able to provide relief goods and hygiene kits to the farmers.
Medicines, vitamins, and hygiene kits were also given to the Rural Health Units of Isabela.
For those who are interested to help, the GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
