PRC announces results of exams for mechanical engineers, plant mechanics
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Thursday announced the results of three examinations given by the Board of Mechanical Engineering earlier this month.
In a statement, the PRC said that 2,133 out of 4,237 test takers passed the mechanical engineers licensure examination.
In top spot is Roy Christian Pasco Oro of Cebu Institute of Technology - University with a score of 94.60%. Among schools with 20 or more examinees, De La Salle University Manila was the best performer with a passing rate of 96.88% as 62 of its 64 test takers passed.
Meanwhile, 104 out of 187 passed the certified plant mechanics licensure examination, with Richard Lituañas of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines - Cagayan De Oro achieving the high score of 89.70%. The top performing school is Polytechnic University of the Philippines - Taguig, with all 28 of its test takers passing.
Both exams were given in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, and Zamboanga.
Ninety-six test takers, meanwhile, passed the technical evaluation to upgrade to professional mechanical engineer. The exam was administered in Metro Manila, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, and the United Arab Emirates.
