Apollo Quiboloy's Facebook, Instagram pages unavailable

The official Facebook and Instagram pages of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy have been made unavailable.

This developed after the online video-sharing platform Youtube terminated Quiboloy’s channel in June.

"This content isn't available right now. When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted," read the notice on what once was Quiboloy's Facebook page.

It is still not clear why the pages have been made unavailable.

GMA News Online is trying to reach Quiboloy's comment and will post its side once available.

Quiboloy is the founder of the religious group Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

YouTube in June said it took down Quiboloy's official channel due to an alleged violation of community guidelines.

YouTube’s verified account (@TeamYouTube) made the announcement on Twitter in response to a user who questioned the platform for hosting Quiboloy’s channel even if the pastor is already on the wanted list of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) over alleged sex trafficking.

“Upon review, we've determined that the channel is in violation of Community Guidelines & (and) has been terminated,” @TeamYouTube tweeted. It did not elaborate.

Prior to the termination, Quiboloy’s YouTube channel had over 47,000 subscribers.

Sex-trafficking charges against Quiboloy and his fellow KJC church members were filed by US prosecutors in November 2021.

In December 2022, the US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) also sanctioned Quiboloy over alleged serious human rights abuse by blocking his access to all his property and interests in property.

The same sanction also provides that all of Quiboloy’s assets in the US must be reported to OFAC.

Following his November 2021 indictment, Quiboloy said he already forgave his accusers. —Sundy Locus/NB, GMA Integrated News
