DOH logs 124 new COVID-19 cases; active cases at 3,010

The Department of Health recorded 124 fresh coronavirus infections on Friday, pushing the nationwide caseload to 4,108,894.

The Philippines has 3,010 active cases, with 4,039,228 total recoveries.

Two new deaths were recorded, bringing the total deaths to 66,656.

The National Capital Region is still the top region with the most cases in the past two weeks with 399, Calabarzon with 212, Central Luzon with 185, Davao Region with 129, and Western Visayas with 98.

On August 17, 3,387 individuals were tested for COVID-19, while 308 testing labs submitted data.

The bed occupancy is at 13%, with 2,960 occupied and 19,824 vacant. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
