242 pass August 2023 mining engineers licensure examination

A graduate of Bicol University-Legazpi was the highest scorer in the mining engineers licensure examination held earlier this month, according to the Philippine Regulation Commission.

In a statement, the PRC said that 242 out of 351 test takers passed the exam, given by the Board of Mining Engineering in Metro Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cebu, Davao and Legazpi.

John Mekko Ostonal Payonga of BU Legazpi achieved the highest score with 88.40%, while University of the Philippines-Diliman was the best-performing school among schools with five or more test takers, with all seven of its examinees passing.
