UP Los Baños grad tops Electrical Engineer licensure exams


A graduate from the University of the Philippines Los Baños campus topped the September 2023 Registered Electrical Engineers Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced.

Timothy Regienald Rongavilla Zepeda gained a percentage rating of 90.95, the highest among 1,218 who successfully hurdled the exams.

A total of 3,945 hopefuls took the examination.

Prince Ian Francisco Cruz of the Technological University of the Philippines-Manila emerged number two in the rankings with 90.65% followed by Christian Degala Huenda of the Capiz State University-Main Campus with 90.05%.

In the examination for Registered Master Electricians, 800 out of 1,490 passed.

The examinations were conducted in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Oriental Mindoro, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.—LDF, GMA Integrated News
