Presidential Action Center denies distributing cash aid, rice


The Presidential Action Center has denied that it is involved in the distribution of P5,000 in cash and kilos of rice.

"We have been made aware of false information circulating in nearby areas, claiming that the Presidential Action Center is distributing ?5,000 in cash and kilos of rice. We want to clarify that this information is entirely false," the PACe said in a statement posted on its Facebook account.

"The Presidential Action Center is not engaged in any such distribution, and no such program is currently in operation," it added.

The PACe advised the public that if they encounter information that raises doubts or concerns, they should verify it through official channels or contact their email at pace@op.gov.ph.

"Together, we can combat the spread of false information and promote a more informed and resilient community. Let us unite in our commitment to truth, for accurate information is our most powerful tool against misinformation," the PACe said.

Formerly known as the Presidential Complaint Center, the PACe was established to maintain a platform that will receive requests, complaints, and grievances from the general public, and refer them to concerned government agencies.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
