Hot, humid weather to persist, Pagasa says
MANILA, Philippines - Hot and humid weather will persist in the next three days, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Wednesday. "Hot and humid weather condition will continue to persist over the country for the next three days," Pagasa said in its 5 a.m. advisory. Pagasa said an extended forecast of up to Sunday, April 13, showed Tuguegarao City in Cagayan stands to be the hottest place on Saturday with maximum temperatures expected to reach 38 degrees. Tuguegarao is forecast to have 37-degree weather on Thursday, Friday and Sunday, Pagasa said. Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) area is forecast to experience 37-degree weather on Thursday, it added. Even Baguio City, the summer capital, will experience relatively hot weather, with a high of 26 degrees from Thursday to Sunday. On the other hand, Pagasa also said an easterly wave affecting Mindanao will bring scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Eastern Mindanao. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to at times cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening. Light to moderate winds blowing from the east and southeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from the east over the rest of the country, Pagasa said. Coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate except during thunderstorms. - GMANews.TV
