Comelec wants 2023 BSKE declared as holiday

The Commission on Elections will ask Malacañang to declare October 30 as a holiday for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataang Elections.

October 30 falls on a Monday.

In a message sent to GMA Integrated News, Comelec chairperson George Garcia said, “Mag-issue kami tomorrow ng request [for] a declaration.”

[We will issue a request tomorrow for a declaration.]

Garcia said the request will be in the form of a resolution.
