DOH logs 123 new COVID-19 cases


The Department of Health recorded 123 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the total nationwide caseload to 4,117,857.

It was the lowest number of new cases in 14 reporting days and marked the third reporting day with less than 200 new cases.

Active cases decreased to 2,937 from 3,031 on Monday.

There are 217 new recoveries and zero new deaths.

The region with the most new cases in the past 14 days was the National Capital Region with 979, followed by Calabarzon with 419, Central Luzon with 201, Davao Region with 150, and Soccsksargen with 106.

A total of 3,008 people took COVID-19 tests on Monday. 

As of Monday, the national bed occupancy rate was 16.3%, with 3,310 occupied and 16,971 vacant beds. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
