Philippines logs 1,218 new COVID-19 cases from Nov. 21–27, 2023
The Philippines logged 1,218 new COVID-19 cases in the week from November 21 to 27, 2023, according to the Department of Health.
This weekly tally is the highest in six weeks, and is the third straight week of increasing new cases, according to GMA Integrated News Research. It also averages to 174 daily cases.
Among the new cases, 11 are classified as severe or critical, the lowest tally in four weeks.
Eleven deaths were verified during the past week, with 11 occurring in the period from November 14 to 27.
Healthcare utilization as of November 26, 2023 is still in the low-risk zone.
Of total COVID-19 admissions, 8.6% or 216 are classified as severe or critical admissions, lower than the 284 severe and critical admissions as of November 17, for the eighth straight week of more than 200 new severe and critical admissions. — BM, GMA Integrated News
