Marcos: Reflect on habits this Energy Consciousness Month

In line with National Energy Consciousness Month, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. urged the public to be more aware of their electricity use and to adopt the path to sustainable energy.

“This month-long event serves as a reminder for us to reflect on our energy habits and foster a culture of responsible energy use,” he said in a message on Tuesday.

He also recognized the 2023 awardees of the Energy [Efficiency] Award, who have shown dedication to achieving energy conservation and “set a standard showing that sustainable practices can go hand-in-hand with progress.”

“I hope that with their example we can inspire the rest of the country to become more conscious in utilizing our energy supply more responsibly,” he said.

“With everyone’s help, we can build a more sustainable and resilient future for us and for the generations that will follow,” he added.

With the theme of “Sustainable and Responsible Energy Future: Fueling Hope, Lighting the Way,” the Department of Energy celebrates the 2023 National Energy Consciousness Month along with its 51st anniversary. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
