2023 Bar passers take oaths, receive bar admission in Pasay
The 3,812 successful passers of the 2023 Bar exams officially took their oaths at a Friday ceremony held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
In a speech by 2023 Bar Chairperson Associate Justice Honorable Ramon Paul Hernando, he commended the bar passers for their endurance and persistence in their Bar journeys and advised the new lawyers to remain strong and fortitudinous in dealing with their future cases.
“Lawyering will take a lot from you, your time, your energies, and sometimes even the strength of your own principles. The winds may blow against your sails and the tides may take you in directions entirely opposite your path. Disasters may strike in the most crucial, inconvenient times, and it is during these times that you think the universe is already telling you to give up and [in] these times, do not believe in the universe,” Hernando said.
“Fortitude is simply about not giving up,” he added.
He also highlighted in his speech that the entire process for the 2023 bar exams was accomplished within the year 2023 and that it only took two months and 11 days after the final day of the exam to release the results.
The 2023 Bar Oathtaking was also the first instance the oathtaking ceremony, signing of roles, and receiving of the certificate of admission to the bar simultaneously took place. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
