Immigration bureau: 3 Chinese nabbed for visa violations

The Bureau of Immigration Intelligence Division (BI-ID) was able to arrest 3 Chinese during an operation in Ligao City, Albay last Jan. 24 for visa violations.

According to a statement posted on Friday, records showed that Chinese national Li Xiaodong, Shi Jiazhu, and Shi Yushuang were employed in different hardware and merchandise companies in Metro Manila, which violated their visa limitations and conditions.

"Our intelligence efforts, combined with effective operations, ensure that visa violators are identified and apprehended promptly. This operation underscores the importance of strict adherence to visa conditions," said BI Intelligence Division Chief Fortunato Manahan, Jr.

The subjects were brought to the BI office in Intramuros for proper processing, and are currently detained at the BI facility in Camp Bagong Diwa pending deportation. — Jiselle Casucian/RSJ, GMA Integrared News
