5 hurt in Quezon City mall construction accident

MANILA, Philippines - Five construction workers were rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center after falling from a scaffolding structure at the Trinoma mall in Quezon City Thursday afternoon. GMA's Flash Report said the workers the accident occurred at the mall's second floor parking area. The report said the workers were taking a nap on the scaffolds when it suddenly gave way. Four of the five construction workers were in serious condition. The report said as of posting time, the mall officials have yet to release a statement on the incident. - GMANews.TV
