Ayala Land assures assistance to Trinoma victims
MANILA, Philippines - Ayala Land, owner of the Trinoma Mall in Quezon City, has assured that proper medical attention will be given to the four construction workers who fell from the second floor of the mallâs parking lot Thursday. At the same time, Ayala Land corporate spokesman Alfonso Javier Reyes said the subcontractor, Gencolor, will assume responsibility to the needs of the family of the fatality, identified as Juan Mariano. Mariano died around 3 p.m. at the East Avenue Medical Center due to severe head injuries. Two of the construction workers, Rafael Tala and Rommel Panuelas, are currently in comatose at the EAMC as a result of the incident, which occurred during the workersâ lunch break. Two others, Rommel Ricamora and Lionel Ortiz, sustained minor injuries. âIt was a very unfortunate accident. We will investigate with our subcontractor, Gencolor, as to why the scaffolding gave way," Reyes said in a phone interview with GMANews.TV. Reyes added that Ayala Land will be working with Gencolor in the probe. âWe, together with the subcontractor, will make sure that proper medical attention will be given to the victims," he said. - GMANews.TV
