Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Civil Service, Government Reorganization and Professional Regulation, reported to the plenary the bicameral conference committee report on the disagreeing provisions of the versions of the upper and the lower house.
According to Revilla, the bicameral conference committee agreed to the new short title of the bill and revised the original term for the allowance from "Teaching Supplies Allowance" to "Teaching Allowance."
The new term is to be "able to more comprehensively cover the instruments for teachings," Revilla explained.
With the ratification of both chambers of Congress, the bill will be sent to Malacañang for President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s approval or veto. — BM, GMA Integrated News
