Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte is in Cambodia to serve her duty as the president of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO).
Duterte arrived in Phnom Penh on Wednesday night, based on an Unang Balita report of GMA Integrated News' Jonathan Andal.
As head of SEAMEO, she is expected to determine how SEAMEO could help in the education sector in Cambodia.
Among Duterte’s initial activities on Thursday is to pay a courtesy call on the Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, who is her counterpart as DepEd secretary.
Duterte is also set to visit the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Technical Education Development, as well as several schools in Cambodia.
She is also expected to meet with Filipino community leaders in the afternoon.
