More complainants troop to DOJ vs. Yexel Sebastian

Alleged investors on Monday filed a complaint before the Department of Justice (DOJ) against vlogger and businessman Yexel Sebastian over an alleged investment scam.

In an ambush interview, one of the complainants who refused to be named said she invested P2 million. She said she was paid P100,000 per month for seven months, after which Sebastian allegedly started making excuses.

Due to this, she said they filed a complaint for syndicated estafa against Sebastian.

“Kung mababawi po at ibabalik yung pera namin siguro po mauurong namin yung kaso kasi yun naman po ang kailangan namin, yung pera,” she said.

(If we can get back the money then we may take back the complaint because that’s what we need, the money.)

GMA News Online has sought comment from Sebastian but has yet to receive a response as of posting time.

On March, 30 alleged victims and the National Bureau of Investigation filed a complaint against Sebastian for an alleged investment scam.

For his part, Sebastian's official FB page previously said that he did not scam anyone.

“Kami po ay nalagay lang sa alanganin. Hindi po namin kagustuhan ang nangyari sa amin lahat,” the page said in a Facebook post. (We were only placed in a bad situation. We didn’t want this to happen to anyone.)—LDF, GMA Integrated News
