13-year-old hit with block of ice died in hospital

QUEZON CITY, Philippines - A 13-year-old boy died after he was hit with a block of ice on the head in Novaliches, Quezon City. Radio dzBB reported Saturday that Mark Gomez succumbed to head injuries after his 13-year-old neighbor hit with the slab of ice supposedly in retaliation for the victim's "teasing." The incident occurred in Gulod village in Novaliches, Quezon City. The boy was rushed to the Novaliches District Hospital and was transferred later to the Philippine General Hospital.
