Bataan tourists rescued after being swept into the open sea

MANILA, Philippines - Three of four tourists previously reported missing in a Bataan resort after being swept into the open ocean by huge waves were rescued. A radio broadcast on Saturday afternoon said the Philippine Coast Guard—which earlier dispatched a team to lead rescue efforts—said that a certain Leotel Sesante, who hailed from Taytay, Rizal, remains missing. Sesante, 22, belonged to a thirty-member delegation taking a summer excursion at the White Corals Beach and Resort Hotel located in Morong, Bataan. The group reportedly were all employees of Yokogawa Philippines, a multinational company with offices in Libis, Quezon City. Earlier, a security officer in Yokogawa’s Quezon City office told GMANews.TV that an employee’s spouse had earlier made inquiries over the phone regarding the incident. He was unable to provide additional details. Besides being a multinational company which helps automate factory operations, Yokogawa’s clients include the Universal Robina Sugar Manufacturing Corp. and the Philippine National Oil Company-Energy Development Corp. - GMANews.TV
