Matias Aznar graduate tops April 2024 physicians licensure exams
A graduate of the Matias H. Aznar Memorial College of Medicine has topped the medical board examinations given in April 2024.
With a rating of 89.25%, Christopher Niño Duane Camay Mendoza topped the examinations given by the Board of Medicine in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
The Professional Regulation Commission said 1,906 out of 3,434 passed the Physicians Licensure Examination.
The top ten passers are the following:

Edison Yu Ong of the University of Santo Tomas placed second with 89.08 while Raian Isabelo Palacay Suyu of the Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation was third with 88.83.
Patrisha Ysabelle Diaz Cacayuran (87.92) placed fourth and James Patrick Pariñas Ocampo (87.75) of the University of the Philippines-Manila ranked fifth.
The rest of the top ten ratings are those of Vergel Jigs Bugua Enriquez of UST (87.67), Fatima Ericka Santos Vista of UP Manila (87.17), Eryll Paolo Moslares Alea of UST (87.08) and Prestine Shealtiel Avellona Subido (87.08), Mary Angelie Cardente Cabanñez of the West Visayas State University-La Paz (87), and Elica Yem Loma Arcilla of the Bicol University-Daraga.
The schools with 50 or more examinees and with at least an 80% passing rate are the University of the East which had 58 passers out of 65 takers and an 89.23% passing rate; and UST with 56 passers out of 66 examinees for a passing rate of 84.85%.
The PRC said results of examination with respect to three examinees have been withheld pending submission of the required documents.
It said the members of the Board of Medicine who gave the licensure examination are its chairman Dr. Zenaida L. Antonio, and members Dr. Godofreda V. Dalmacion, Dr. Eleanor B. Almoro, Dr. Martha O. Nucum, Dr. Efren C. Laxamana, and Dr. Joanna V. Remo. —NB, GMA Integrated News
