Infra damage due to Aghon tops P365M


Typhoon Aghon left infrastructure damage worth P365,470,000, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Friday.

In the latest situational report, at least 47 infrastructures were damaged in Calabarzon, particularly in Batangas and Quezon Province. Among the damaged infrastructure were roads and bridges.

While there is no estimated damage cost available, the NDRRMC said that there were 22 houses in Eastern Visayas that were destroyed by the typhoon.

Meanwhile, the cost of agricultural damage remained at P21,651,548.

The NDRRMC also said that the number of affected individuals stood at 51,858 people, or 16,404 families.

Meanwhile, the casualty figures stayed the same: six deaths and eight injuries.

Aghon exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
