BOC-NAIA seizes parcels containing P4.5 million in marijuana
The Bureau of Customs at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport seized several parcels that contained P4.5 million in marijuana.
According to a statement on Saturday, a parcel containing 323 grams of suspected high-grade marijuana or kush worth P4,524,800 was taken from the Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC) in Pasay City.
The shipment from Toronto, Canada was reportedly misdeclared as a “gift” consigned to an individual in Quezon City, who will face further investigation and may face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA No. 9165), in relation to the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (RA No. 10863).
