21 senior police officials promoted, Razon says
MANILA, Philippines - Two senior police officers were promoted to the one-star rank, while 19 others were elevated to the rank of Senior Superintendent, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Wednesday. PNP chief Dir. Gen Avelino Razon Jr said President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo approved the promotion to the rank of Chief Supt. of PNP public information chief Nicanor Bartolome and Cordillera's Deputy Regional Director for Administration Villamor Bumanglag. Bartolome is a member of Philippine Military Academy Class 1980 while Bumanglag, of PMA Class 1979. Also, the President promoted 19 police superintendents to the next higher rank of police senior superintendent. They are: ⢠Froilan Bonifacio, of PNP's Intelligence Group (IG); ⢠Philip Gil Phillipps, also of IG; ⢠Renato Angara, of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG); ⢠Elmer Doyo, of CIDG; ⢠Nestor Belga, of Internal Affairs Service (IAS); ⢠Jeoffrey Gigantoca, of IAS; ⢠Oscar Albayalde, of Police Regional Office-3; ⢠Cornelio Defensor, of Police Regional Office-6; ⢠Leonardo Cesneros, of Police Regional Office-8; ⢠Eddie Benigay, of Police Regional Office-9; ⢠Aaron Aquino, of Police Regional Office-11; ⢠Julio Chavez, of Legal Service; ⢠Sonny David, of Maritime Group; ⢠Ernesto Reyes Jr, of the Aviation Security Group; ⢠Agustin Senot, Training Service; ⢠Aleto Jerremy Mirasol, of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO); ⢠Mario Soriano, of NCRPO; ⢠Alfredo Valdez of NCRPO; and ⢠Napoleon Villegas Jr., also of NCRPO.
