VP Sara to attend Palarong Pambansa 2024 in Cebu

Following her resignation as Secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd), Vice President Sara Duterte said she will still be attending the opening ceremony of the 2024 Palarong Pambansa.

“Yes, opo. Present ako sa Palarong Pambansa,” Duterte told reporters on Saturday.

The annual national games, which will be hosted this year by Cebu City, is set from July 9 to 16.

Duterte also said that she will also attend the National Learners’ Convergence, National Learning Camp, and Brigada Eskwela.

On June 19, Duterte quit as DepEd chief and National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) Co-Vice Chairperson, effective July 19, 2024.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has yet to name her successor. —RF, GMA Integrated News
