DPWH to partially close EDSA-Santolan flyover on July 19-22, July 26-29
The Department of Public Works and Highways announced they would partially close the EDSA-Santolan Flyover from July 19 to July 22, and July 26 to 29.
According to their Friday advisory, the DPWH would be overlaying the EDSA-Santolan Flyover Northbound (lane by lane) with asphalt during the mentioned weekends..
“The removal of existing asphalt pavement by rotomilling shall be done first, lane by lane, until the full width of the pavement is completed. After the rotomilling is completed, asphalt overlay of the rotomilled section will follow. The same procedure will be applied to the remaining area subject to repair,” the advisory read.
The repair will begin at 11 p.m. on Friday and the flyover will reopen at 5 a.m. on Monday.
“All repair activities will be conducted during nighttime only to prevent traffic congestion in the area,” the advisory added.
Motorists were advised to take alternative routes on affected dates. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
