UST grad tops medical technologists licensure exam

A graduate of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) was the highest scorer in the medical technologists licensure examination conducted earlier this month, the Professional Regulation Commission said.

According to the PRC, 3,872 out of 5,574 test takers passed the exam, given by the Board of Medical Technology in test centers in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Davao.

Riana Beatriz Tungol Siron of UST achieved the highest score of 92.30%, while the top performing school with 50 or more examinees is Saint Louis University, with 83 of its 87 test takers passing for a success rate of 95.40%. UST is in close second place with a passing rate of 95.26%, with 342 of its 359 test takers passing.
