DOH warns vs. fake websites promoting hypertension cure

The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday warned against fraudulent websites promoting a cure for hypertension and other diseases.

According to an advisory, several websites were recently found using the name of former Health Undersecretary Dr. Enrique Tayag to promote a method to allegedly cure hypertension and other incurable diseases through “clean blood vessels.”

“The DOH clarifies that these websites are not affiliated with Dr. Tayag, the Department, or the Philippine Heart Center, and the contents have been maliciously fabricated,” read the statement.

DOH also warned the public to only seek information from legitimate sources. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/LDF, GMA Integrated News
