HSAC invites home buyers, owners to attend fairs for National Shelter Month

The Human Settlements and Adjudication Commission (HSAC) on Friday called on homeowners and home buyers to attend its fairs as it celebrates National Shelter Month.

Interviewed on BP Ngayon, Atty. Lorah Maria Alfiler of HSAC said that the National Shelter Month will run until October 31 nationwide. 

“Meron kaming housing fair, meron kaming— kasama din kami sa serbisyo fair. Meron din kaming mga libreng webinars at conferences, nationwide po ito,” Alfiler said.

(We have a housing fair… and we are also included in the service fair. We also have free webinars and conferences. This is nationwide.)

Asked who may avail services at the HSAC’s housing fair, Alfiler said that all are invited.

She said that buyers will be informed about who to approach should they encounter problems in the purchase of their homes. 

“Ang ating mga legal practitioners, even our legal practitioners, minsan nakakalimutan nila hindi pala ito diretso sa court. Pumupunta muna sila dapat sa ating ahensya, ang HSAC po,” Alfiler said.

(Our legal practitioners, even our legal practitioners, sometimes forget that they should not head to court. They should first approach HSAC.)

Aside from this, Alfiler said that they will also hold an information caravan next week in Isabela.

“Kami po ay iniimbitahan po namin kayo sa aming information caravan. Gaganapin po ang information caravan sa Isabela. Merong parating na information caravan naman sa Butuan at General Santos City,” she said.
